I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all of you for electing a dynamic and vibrant bar. I am deeply grateful to each of you for placing your trust in me and electing me as the Honorary Secretary for the first time.
Allahabad became the seat of the Government of the North-Western Provinces, and a High Court was established there in 1834, but it was shifted to Agra within a year. In 1868, it was relocated back to Allahabad. The initial High Court was situated at the Accountant General’s office within the University of Allahabad complex.

In 1873, European Barristers at the Allahabad High Court established the Bar Association, formally inaugurated on February 3rd with Mr. Jardine as its first President and twelve members. The Association aimed to address matters concerning the Bar's interests in the region and to promote a high standard of professionalism while discouraging unprofessional practices.
